Meda Health Traveler of the Month: Alli B

The Meda January Traveler of the Month is Alli B! Here what she has to say about her experience so far.

Meda is a company you can trust as a traveler. There’s no hidden agenda, or rules: they do their part and make it easy for us to do our part. There’s no weirdness or second guessing. Rates are some of the highest in the nation, and their rapport with facilities makes it easy for the facility to trust that we are the better candidates. Ive watched many experts in the field go to Meda- with a staff full of honest, hard working experts, it’s easy to understand their success. I’m Humbled to be included.

I love my assignment. The manager is kind and accommodating. For example, She knew I had an early morning Dr appointment in LA and so she herself came in at 0530 to relieve me so I could get to the Dr on time. She’s kind and treats every nurse like part of her family. I appreciate having a manager that truly cares and one who treats travelers the same as staff. Real deal kindness has been found on this assignment.

Meda has made onboarding super seamless. In large part to Sarah being the absolute best recruiter in the nation. She has always taken care of me in ways no one else can compare. Sarah is a go-getter, a do-er, and an absolute dream to work with. In addition to Sarah, everyone at Meda seems to have incredible communication skills. This sets Meda above the rest- especially with onboarding. I always knew what was required and expected of me and the timeline we were working with. Karina Pena continues to keep me in compliance and working with her has been lovely. She is approachable and kind, never pushy.

My recruiter is a goddess! She’s always quick to respond and always reasonable, loving and kind. Some days in the neonatal intensive care unit can truly drain the human soul- regardless of what facility you’re in. Well, Sarah allows me the space to decompress with her. She’s been on the other end of the line when I just needed to vent, or cry and she listens without judgment and somehow always remind me that my capacity to love others in nursing will always be a gift to guard and cherish. Sarah also has the best sense of humor and that’s what initially made me want to work with her. She’s REAL! She is so relatable and fun to know. Sarah and I have worked so well together- we’re like peanut butter/jelly- a seriously great duo 🙂

I think nurses don’t realize how much stronger and supported they’d feel if they had a recruiter like Sarah. Her superpower is kindness, and she doesn’t even realize her own badassness. In a world where kindness seems weakened, Sarah shows up and radiates this positive, warm light that covers everyone she knows. She’s incredible.
